Newborn Sessions and COVID/ Fine Art Photographer/ Oxford, MISSISSIPPI
There have been many things either postponed, rescheduled, moved outdoors, or canceled. When COVID first happened, I shut down the studio and I had had not clue what it would look like for me to open back up. Once things started slowing opening back up and I had the okay to start sessions again, I had many babies that had been born during the quarantine. This pushed me to change the norm of many sessions. Some Newborn sessions we choose to do outdoors, some we choose to do at 3 or 4 months, others wanted to go ahead and schedule their sessions. This pushed me to do "newborn" sessions past the typical 4-14 days old window. I will say I love older babies. They may not be as sleepy or fold as easy, but they are chunkier! Who doesn't love rolls on a baby!
Conor Lee came into the studio almost 5 weeks old. She was a champ, she was awake for some and sleeping beauty in others. I loved this session. She has the most precious parents who were so much fun to get to know. Connor Lee is wearing a gown handmade by her grandmother and a bonnet that was handmade by her grandmother for her mommy. How precious is it that they both wore this special bonnet. It doesn't get much better than some southern heirlooms. I don't use many props in the studio and I love when a momma comes in and says, I just want simple and classic. Yes, me too. Keep it focused on all that sweet goodness of the baby. I just love how simple and timeless it makes your images.
Here are some of the special images captured during Conor Lees newborn session. I hope y'all enjoy and as always, thanks for stopping by.
